Mr. and Mrs. Dick Julander and children, Ogden, joined the Hansen families here and the group went to Bear Lake Wednesday. Walter Hansen and a buddy were in Southern Utah over the weekend where they visited with Larry Rhodes. Sherma Hansen and Elia Sanchez journed to Idaho Falls Saturday where Wanda Herm-me- r joined them on a weekend outing to Yellowstone Park. Mr. and Mrs. Warren Hansen and son, Conlee were in Logan to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Steed. Miss Emily Kimber, Grouse Creek, was an overnight guest at the Blaine Rhodes home Thursday. Miss Kimber came in to attend the school meeting in Brigham Friday. She went to Brigham with Mrs. Pearl Gro-ve- r. Go To Cave Louis Larson and his four older children enjoyed Thursday at Timpanogas cave. On Friday the Louis Larson family took a trip out to see the Little Valley project. Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn Derrick and family. Salt Lake City, were Monday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Larson. Turkey supper was served at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Don Bourne Saturday to Mr. and Mrs. Cleon Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Bourne of Fielding, Mrs. Sylvia Iverson and daughter, Portland, Ore. Jasper, Dean, Kent and Dan Shaffer, Cleland Peterson and Bruce Wilde were bow and arrow hunting for deer from Friday to Monday. They had no luck with the deer, but enjoyed the outing. Larlee Hansen accompanied Mrs. Blaine Rhodes to Ogden Thursday. The four children of Mrs. Rhodes all went along and the three Cole children who had been spending some time with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Eph Peterson joined the group to return to their home in Ogden. Elaine and Karen Rhodes remained in Ogden to spend a week with Mr. and Mrs. Carl I. Edvalson. The tiny daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dewain Loveland of Will- ard stayed with the Wayne Gro- ver family from Tuesday of last week until Monday. Margaret Bright, Layton, was the overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. Don Bourne Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Eph Peterson were in Logan Saturday and again on Tuesday for trout dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Isaacson. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Rhodes. Mr. and Mrs. Ursel Rhodes and Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Rhodes were in Brigham on Saturday to attend funeral services for Jack Rhodes. Huggins Dinner Is Given Mr. and Mrs. Glen Iverson were host and hostess to a lovely dinner party Tuesday evening at their home. Honored guests were Mr. and Mrs. Dal Stewart of Tempe, Ariz. The Stewarts are the parents of Ralph Stewart, the Iversons' Miss Lynne Thompson, Phoenix, Ariz., is a house guest of Carla Iverson. 2nd Lt. and Mrs. Wayne R. Christensen and children, Steven, Mack and Marie, of Palo Alto, Calif., were guests of Mr. Christensen's aunt, Miss Dena Christensen. They were enroute to France to make their home for awhile. Wayne recently returned from Korea. He is the son of Orson Christensen, formerly of Bear River. Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Jensen, Brenda and Scott, enjoyed birthday dinner Thursday evening with Laurie Josephson, who was one year old. Laurie is the daughter of Paul and Sharla Joseph-soand they live in Brigham son-in-la- n, City. Mr. and Mrs. Mike Kerney and daughters of Lehi spent Thursday visiting Mr. and Mrs. Burton Anderson and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Bateman. Merle Birch of Salt Lake City has been a house guest of her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Birch. Connie Rae Cannon of Ogden visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lorin Christensen over the weekend. The Christensen's daughter, Deanna, returned last week from Mammoth, Yellowstone park, where she has been employed during the summer months. Deanna is now making preparations to attend school at the B.Y.U. ShefMr. and Mrs. William field, Brigham City, attended Sacrament meeting. Mr. Sheffield blessed his little granddaughter and gave her the name of Ja Lynn Sorensen. The infant is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Sorenson. Margo Checketts is the name chosen by Mario and Melba Checketts for their tiny daughter. The infant's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clayson of Cornish, attended Sacrament meeting and were dinner guests of the Checketts. Elizabeth (Nellie) B. Anderson and Jane Peterson spent Wednesday in Logan visiting Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Clark. Patty Christensen took them over. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Holmgren and daughters Debra and Patricia spent a week in Los Angeles enjoying the sights. The Holmgrens' youngest daughter, Mary Helen, visited with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Rasmussen,, Brigham City, while her parents were away. They visited with the group, then Mrs. Jensen accompanied them to their home in El Sobrante, Calif., where she spent several days visiting and sightseeing. Friday, she boarded a Western Airline plane and flew to Salt Lake City. She spent the night with another son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Holtry, and came home Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Nessler, Baraboo, Wis., visited Arthur's brother and family, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Nessler, lat week. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Holmgren returned recently from an enjoyable trip to the canyons in Southern Utah. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Munns visited their daughter Carolyn, who is confined in the Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City. The cast has been removed from Carolyn's body, but her progress is very slow. Carolyn contracted polio about six years ago and has spent most of the time in the hospital, undergoing operations and other treatment. But through all this she has never lost her smile nor her will to cooperate. Miss Mallie Eldredge and Mr. and Mrs. Ferris Lindsey and family of Ogden were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Burton Anderson Sunday. The ladies are nieces of Mrs. Anderson. Ralph and Dorene Bateman and daughter Lori are making their home in Ogden. Ralph will teach at the Municipal School in Roy. They have spent the summer with Dorene's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Burton Anderson. Mr. and Mrs. Acel Thompson and children, David and Loretta, Gunnison, Utah, visited for a short time with Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Huggins Friday evening.
