Certificates of Graduation were presented Sunday at Stake Union Meeting by the Malad Stake Genealogical Committee to 36 members who have completed an 11 weeks course. Among those receiving certificates were Zina E. Harris and Thelma D. Gibbs. At the time of her death, Vera Hall had completed the course and her certificate was presented to her daughter, Irene Hall. Arthur Gibbs, Scoutmaster, was in charge of the meeting Sunday evening. Prayers were offered by Dale Thomas and Bishop Walter E. Gibbs. Hie Colors were presented by Wendell McCann, Stanlev Thomas and Billie Gibbs. Speakers were: Johnny McCann, Velda Harris, Faye Thomas and W. W. Thomas of the Stake Board. Complete Polio Fund Mrs. Reed Nielsen, Chairman of the March of Dimes states that the campaign is now completed and $48.71 was donated by the people of Portage. Mrs. Wendell C. Tarbet, whose wife, Mardell, lives at 878 Twentieth St., Ogden, Utah, is scheduled to leave the U. S. early in February as part of a group of more than 700 ss , mm'V'-Hrm-rw- stationed at Fort Wood, Mo., that will serve replacements with the Seventh Army in Germany. Sergeant Tarbet, formerly with the 63rd Engineer Battalion, will arrive in Europe about Feb. 19.
