Burton, and Mr. and Mrs. Don Barton. After the ceremony the group enjoyed a wedding breakfast at the Tropical Cafe in Brigham City. The same evening the couple were honored at a reception in the Thatcher School Gym, where a host of friends greeted them with well wishes. The bride chose a ballerina length gown with a finger tip veil. They are touring the west for their honeymoon. When they return they will be at home at Dugway, Utah. Wal-dro- - n, ' I, ; f -- ' fff ' ' ' . I SIDNEY CUTLER PLAN JUNE WEDDING The engagement of Miss Conger has been announced by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernie R. Conger of Tremonton. She will marry Sidney Cutler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Cut ler of Snowville in the Logan Temple June 27. Jolene has been cheerleader at Bear River high school for three years. She is a member of the A Cappella choir and is a soprano soloist with the choir. She was chosen first attendant to the FFA Sweetheart and was crowned Queen of Wheat and Beet Days and was attendant to the Peach City Queen. She graduated with her class from Bear River high school this year. Mr. Cutler is a graduate of the local school and has attended Utah State Agricultural College. He is now employed with Fife Construction Company. The young couple are planning to make their home in Brigham City, and Jolene will attend Beauty School in Ogden. JEANNE PETERSEN WEDS IDAHO MAN In a 'setting of early summer blooms and candle light, Miss Jeanne Petersen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Howard Petersen were married last Friday afternoon, June 1, to Mr. Dean Hulet, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Hulet of Malad, Idaho. The ceremony was performed at the home of the bride's parents by Bishop William D. Burton. Immediate family members were present. Mrs. Virginia Floyd acted as matron of honor. Cleo Hulet, sister of the groom as bridsmaid, Dianne Petersen, sister of the bride was junior bridesmaid. Best Man was Mario Smart. Mes-dam- DELBERT JENSEN AND HAZEL ECKERSLY TO MARRY A wedding reception and e dance will be given in the Ward hall for Hazel Eckersly, Salt Lake City, and Delbert C. Jensen, Deweyville, June 15 from 8:00 until 12:00 Dew-eyvill- p.m. The bride's parents are Mr. and Mrs. P. J. Skousen of Mesa, Arizona. Delbert is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Jensen, Deweyville. Friends of the young couple are cordially invited to attend. Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Weese were honored on their silver wedding anniversary at a dinner given by their son Dee and his wife. The dinner was held Friday, and other guests were Max Weese and Meredith Jack Wright and three daughters of Moses Lake, Wash., arrived in Tremonton last week to spend two weeks with the Jess Garfield family. The ceremony uniting the couple was performed in the L.D.S. Temple at Salt Lake City, Monday, May 21. The wedding party was entertained by the groom's parents at breakfast at the Lion House. The same evening the newly weds were honored at a reception and dance at the Thatcher-Penros- e Ward house. The bride wore a princess style wedding gown of imported Chantilly lace over satin, featuring a Queen Ann collar and long pointed sleeves. Her veil of bridal illusion was caught to' a heart shaped crown of sequins and pearl. She carried a bouquet of an orchid surrounded by white carnations. The bride's attendants wore three shades of pink fashioned on the princess style of the bride's gown. The May meeting of the Golden Spike Camp, Daughters of Utah Pioneers was held at the home of Mrs. Ethel Palmer with Marjorie Stenquist as Captain Mary Stenquist read the history of Jane Affleck Kerr, grandmother of Alice K. Warren. Mrs. Kerr walked s across the plains selling to come to Utah. She was a member of the first Relief Society in Ogden. The lesson, Publications of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers was given by Elma Fuller, and new officers were chosen. They are: Captain, Cleo A. Anderson; 1st Lt., Reta Compton; 2nd Lt. Gertrude Iverson; chorister, Amy Allen; treas., Viola Porritt; organist. Lenore George; registrar, Margaret Smith; historian, Marjorie Stenquist; chaplain, Ethel Hamson. thanked Captain Stenquist the members for their cooperation during the two years since their organization, and reported that the membership has doubled in that time. David Stenquist called his parents over the weekend to report that he is leaving for a year's duty in Iceland. His family will remain in Reno, Nev., while he is gone. DAVID STENOUIST WILL GO TO ICELAND - WIFE OF THIOKOL OFFICIAL MISS JOLENE CONGER will exchange wedding vows with Sidney Cutler in the Logan Temple late this month. Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Brough and Dona Bowcutt drove to Emmett, Ida., Thursday to attend the wedding reception for Leon Hill and Sonja Atkinson, who were married in the Idaho Falls Temple. Mr. Hill is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hill, former residents of Tremonton. The members of the Literary Guild were entertained at their regular meeting at the home of June Garfield. Three other i guests were Isabella Walton, Peggy Marble and Mae Allen. "As I See India", by Robert Trumbull was reviewed in an interesting manner by Marjorie Stenquist. Community Methodist Church Sunday, June 10 Sermon: "Now Unto Him Who fa Able" Mrs: Bryce Wilheit, wife of the chief engineer for Thiokol Chemical Company, Newark, New Jersey accompanied her husband on a trip to Box Elder County last week. The couple accompanied by two other officials of the Company came to Utah by plane arriving in Brigham City Thursday morning. Four Tremonton women met for luncheon with a group from Brigham City as guests of the Box Elder Chamber of Com merce, honoring Mrs. Wilheit. After luncheon, the ladies, Quentin Allen, D. W. Harris, Clifford McMurdie and A. N. Rytting brought the visitor to Tremonton and escorted her on a tour of the city. Mrs. Wilheit was interested in living conditions, recreational opportunities, schools, churches, and shopping facilities. She is the mother of two sons, one of whom is school age. In Tremonton, Mrs. Wilheit was impressed with the high school, the fair grounds, especially an annual rodeo, the city parks, and the nice homes. Light refreshments were ser-e- d by John Hawkins and his wife Lavern, and each lady was presented with a rose from the Hawkins garden.
