A book review, Obcession" by "Magnificent Lloyd C. Douglas was given by Mrs. Severson and thoroughly enjoyed by the club members and guests. Refreshments were served by the hostess assisted by her daughter, Mrs. Joyce Walker. The next meting will ' be held at the home of Mrs. Mattie Bourne. Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Munson were dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. David Allen at Perry, Sunday. Evening guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Val Leavitt, d Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. and daughter, Montgomery Robin, of Park Valley. The Future Progress Guild and their partners enjoyed a Pot Luck Party at the Church Thursday, evening. Building Those in charge were the Officers. Ross Muff of "Moab gave an interesting lecture and showed colored slides on San Juan County in Southern Utah. About sixty members and guests were present. ,. Mr. and Mrs. Verl Udy spent Friday evening visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Chiwers at Malad. Guests at the home' of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Farnsworth Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Gardner and family of Brigham. Darrell has just returned from Alaska where he has been on an asignment for the past two months. Mr. and Mrs. John Owens and boys spent Sunday visiting with Mrs. Owen's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Thompson at Clarkston. Mr. Thompson is recuperating from; a serious ill' '. ness. Dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Potter Sunday were Mrs. George Manning and Mrs. Elaine Tomelson of Farmington and Miss Arlene Potter of Logan. Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Udy spent Wednesday at Salt Lake City visiting with their son, Jay Udy and family. Return From California Mrs. Edith Welling returned home Friday after spending the past three weeks with her dauMr. and ghter and Mrs. Scott McClellan and boys at Palo Alto, Calif. She also visited at San Francisco and with Mr. and Mrs. James Doyle at Los Angeles and. went through the new Temple there. Her dauof ghter, Miss Enid Welling Portland, Ore., joined her in California and accompanied her home for an indefinite visit. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Secrist spent Tuesday at Salt Lake City visiting with Mrs. Secrist's sister. Mrs. Anna Owens. Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Hansen and Mr. and Mrs. Herman Potter attended a party given for the retiring officers of the Primary Stake Board and their partners at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Brown at Garland Monday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Theo Richards visited with Mr. and Mrs. Charles Warnick and family at Pleasant Grove, Thursday. They also visited with Dr. W. R. at Salt Lake City. Dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Coombs, Tuesday were Mr. . and Mrs. Leroy Noble of Farmington. Mrs. Edith Udy, Mrs. Sara Moss and Mrs. Jeanine Kent attended funeral services for the infant child of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Vanover at Malady Tuesday. Tom Grill, who is stationed with the Navy at San Diego, is spending a furlough with his wife, Mrs. Beverly Grill and daughter Sheri Lynn. During the week they will visit with Mr. Grill's mother, Mrs. Reta Grill and other relatives at Cal-derwo- Hold Fireside Meeting A "Fireside" meeting for the M Men and Gleaners and Jr. M Men and Jr. Gleaners was held at the home of Miss Louise Petersen following Sacramenmeet-in- g e Sunday evening. Miss Bud Garn was Grover of East Garland gave an interesting discussion on Central America and showed and colored slides. Light refreshments were served to about sixteen. Vacation in California Mr. and Mrs. Verl Anderson returned home Thursday evening from an enjoyable week's vacation to San Francisco and down the coast to San Diego. They were accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Eph Jensen of Tremonton.
