She plans to leave about the middle of March, if possible, to join her husband, Lt. Gerald Cannon, who is stationed near Paris. The Birthday Club held a party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Johnson at Tremonton Friday evening. About ten couples were present and enjoyed a delicious hot supper followed by a social. Mr. and Mrs. Gale Welling and family were dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Welling at Salt Lake City, Sunday. Weekend guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Sutherland were Mr. and Mrs. Walter Sutherland and family of Ogden. Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ell wood Hess during the weekend were Mr. and Mrs. Lewis MacFarland and family of Arimo, Ida., and Joe Hess of Ogden. Mining-Uta- Miss Margie Bolton left Sat- Logan Sunday Feb. 5th. The new baby has a brother and sister to welcome him home. Mrs. Rosel Zundell and Mrs. Rowane Cannon attended a wedding ceremony for Mr. and Mrs. Jack Lefever at the Logan Temple Friday. The bride was the former Miss Renae Bennett. Following the ceremony Mrs. Zundel and Mrs. Cannon visited with Mrs. Zundel's parents, Mr. and Mrs. R, T. Nish at Logan. Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Munson were overnight guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. D. K. Paxton at Ogden, Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Mason accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Lamb of Plymouth were visiting with relatives at Ogden, Thursday. Club Meets Social The Development Club met at the home of Mrs. Mattie afternoon. Bourne Thursday Mrs. Effie Potter had charge of the program which consisted of a reading by LaNet MacFarland of Riverside, tap dancing by Kathleen Zundel and Karen Skinner and a discussion on "Home Making" was given by Miss Bessie Hansen of Brigham. Guild Meets The Future Progress Guild met at the home of Mrs. Alta Coombs Thursday evening with Mrs. Nancy Leavitt and Mrs. Lola Coombs as Elder and Mrs. Andrew Heggie of Clarkston were guests of the evening and showed colored slides, souvenirs and gave an interesting discussion of their recent L.D.S. Mission to Germany. Luncheon was served by the hostesses to about twenty club members. The next meeting will be a party for the members and their husbands and will be pot luck. It will be on Feb. 16th. It was given by the and Trailbuilders of the Primary, and the parents of the girls and boys were special guests as were the Bishopric and the Primary presidency. Games were played under the direction of Ronald Leonard, and a lunch was served to about 76 people. Mrs. Pauline Leonard, LaPreal Johnsen and Arva Archibald are leaders of the girls group and Mrs. Dolly Iverson, Wilma Anderson and Leone Hansen have charge of the Trailbuilders. This special party was called "The Snow Frolic". Mrs. Farrell Huggins was gracious hostess to her' club Thursday evening at her home. Mrs. Ann Bourne was a special guest. Mrs. Kenneth Holmgren entertained Saturday afternoon in honor of her daughter, Debra's sixth birthday. The little guests attended the show, "Heidi" in Brigham city, then returned to Debra's home where delicious refreshments were served. Richard Hansen, seven year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Hansen, was operated on for appendicitis at the Cooley hospital, Saturday: Shower Honors Bride A lovely party was held Friday in the recreation hall honoring Mrs. Byron Anderson, a recent bride. Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Duke and children of Ogden visited Mrs. Duke's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eph Christensen, Saturday. They also visited Mr. and Mrs. Golden Anderson at Bothwell. The Whitneys accompanied her home Sunday evening for a' short visit. Mrs. Holt reports that her daughter, LaRee Whitney is gradually improving. She is able to be in a wheel chair part of the time.
