Club News ATTEND HOLIDAY PARTY The local members of the National League of American Pen Women and the Box Elder Writer's Realm were in Brigham City Thursday evening to attend the Christmas party of the two groups. They met jointly at Maddox for supper, then adjourned to the home of Mrs. Iva Lou Nebeker in Perry for the remainder of the evening. Local members are Mesdames O. L. Brought. A. L. Cook, Vernal Holland and A. N. Rytting. home and Beth Brown home for the weekend were three recent immigrants from Sweden. Inga Lena Carlstrom, Bengt Johnson and Rolph Magnesson, who are now making their home in Salt Lake City, showed films to a group at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Brown, Garland, Saturday evening. P. up to the Owen Rasmus-se-n home last Friday. He will stay with the Rasmussens for several weeks before returning to Ogden. Taken to Ogden Hospital It was necessary to take Mrs. Earl Buchanan to an Ogden hospital last week for further medical treatment. Mr. and Mrs. Frank received word from their son, La Mar, that he is now serving in the U. S. Navy at San Diego, Cal. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hansen were in Ogden last Wednesday to visit with Newell Johnson, a brother of Mrs. Hansen. Mr. Johnson received injuries in a truck and automobile collision last week. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Fridal and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hansen, also Mr. Lorin Hansen of Bear River City, were at the Amos Hansen home one day last week to wish a happy birthday to Mr. Hansen. Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Jensen and children of Layton, acn companied by Mrs. Mary and Ethel Mortenson, drove to Oxford, Ida., Sunday to. visit with Mr. and Mrs. Henry Jensen (Elvira Mortenson) Mrs. Jensen recently underwen4 major surgery.
