HEARS TALK OX DELINQUENCY The P.T.A. held a meeting at the Church Building Wednesday evening under the direction at P.T.A. President, Mrs. Mol-E- e Hodges. Guest speaker for the evening was Heber M. The names will be voted on at the next meeting. Pvt. Fred Hess, who has been stationed at Camp Carson, Colo., has been spending the past two weeks on furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Hess and family. Mrs. Leona Standing spent several days of last week visit ing with her daughter and Mr. and Mrs. George Bowcutt and family and other relatives at Ogden. Stanley C. Farnsworth of Salt Lake City visited with Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Munson Thurs day. Mrs. Edith Welling and Mrs. Eva Munson spent Friday at Ogden visiting with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Wynn Hansen were dinner guests at the home of Miss Bessie Hansen at Brig-haSunday. The Fielding Ward Chapel is undergoing a complete rejuvenating and cleaning. Russell Boss is doing a fine job of painting the Chapel, Relief Society Room and Banquet Room. Mrs. Wynn Zundel accompanied by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. x Doyle Cutler of Snowville spent Saturday at Logan. Mrs. Ed Arnell, Mr. and Mrs. Judd Phelps and family of St. Charles, spent Sunday with Mrs. M. E. Owen and Miss Margie Boltoh. Bishop and Mrs. Rosel Zundel attended the Homecoming and Ward Reunion held at Plymouth Saturday. Mrs. Leona Standing entered the Dee Hospital at Ogden Wednesday for medical care. Mrs. Sara Moss and Mrs. Jeanine Kent attended a bridal shower for Miss Eleanor Williams Saturday evening. The party was held at the home of Mrs. Dean Williams in St. John. County Agents Column LICE AND MITE CONTROL n Many Box Elder county don't realize that a heavy infestation of lice in laying hens actually lower egg production as much as 20 percent. Lice sap food that hens should be using to maintain body weight and produce eggs. These little creatures and their "MITEY" friends may cause more damage to birds than poultrymen think. Paul R. Daniels, Assistant county agent, de clares. With the coming of warmer weather they should be especially alert for both lice poul-tryme- and mites in the poultry house. Examine several hens closely by pulling back the fluff an inch or so below the vent, the agent recommends. Lice travel to the vent for moisture and they can be controlled by applying a pinch of sodium fluoride below the vent of each bird or by painting the roosts with nicotine sulphate just before the hens go to roost. Mrs. Blanche Hansen was the narrator. Mrs. Edith Udy had charge of the meeting and Mrs. Bernadine Earl directed the floor show which was as follows:" Two quartet numbers by Margaret Thompson, Sonja Bowcutt, Faye Anderson and Geneve Richardson accompanied by Diane Boss. Miss Virginia Welling played piano music during the fashion parade. Hostesses were Mrs. Ina Udy, Mrs. Sara Moss and Mrs. Jeanine Kent. Luncheon was served to about fifty club members and guests. Mr. and Mrs. Gale Welling and family spent Sunday visiting with Gale's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Welling at Salt Lake City. Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Cannon this 45 Whole lb. Mr. and Mrs. NoUle Petersen are happy over the arrival of a little grandson born to Lt. and Mrs. Don Petersen at the LDS Hospital at Salt Lake City, Friday March 25th. Lt. USDA TURKEYS The Booklore Club met at the home of Mrs. Faye Fryer Wednesday evening with club president, Mrs. Myrle Udy presiding. An interesting review of Peter Freuchen's book, "Vagrant Viking" was given by Miss Margaret Woodside of B.R.H.S. future home. Thomas, Extension veterinarian from the U.S.A.C., and Robert Poulson the local veterinarian will be present to ingive you some very vital formation on this subject. All livestockmen, and others interested, are invited to attend this meeting.
