Dies Sunday; Last Rites Held Funeral services were con- ducted Wednesday afternoon in the Tremonton Methodist Church for Mrs. Sarah Lorimer Allen, 81. Mrs. Allen died at 6:30 a.m. Sunday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harry Drew after an illness of ten months. She was born Oct. 24, 1873, in Corinne, a daughter of William and Sarah Holt Lorimer. She married Harry Allen in Corinne in 1893. He died in 1903 in Montana. Mrs. Allen was a member of the Methodist Church, the Order of Eastern Star and Rebekah Lodge. , While in Corinne, Mrs. Allen served as postmistress for 27 years. She had lived with her daughter, Mrs. Drew for the past 27 years. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Maude Drew, Mrs. L. W. (Emma) Mattson, Hay ward, Cal., a son Lorimer Allen, San Francisco, Cal., two grandchildren and three great grandchildren. The Community Methodist Church was filled with friends of the family for Mrs. Allen's funeral Wednesday afternoon. The Reverend R. Edward Lepper conducted the service and Mrs. Thomas Matney played the prelude and accompaniment for two solos by Mrs. Thomas Harrison. He returned to Mendon and became principal of the elementary school, and assisted in coaching at South Cache, where the Spartans won a Region One championship. Then he came to Bear River. He has coifched three Region One championship teams, won two regional seconds and a third. Contracts were signed Monday with the low bidders for the general construction, electrical and plumbing work. Awarded the general contract was Ace Raymond, Logan. He told school officials that there were no other projects underway 'that would in any way delay the construction start. Mr. Raymond was expected to begin moving equipment to Tremonton possibly this week, so actual construction work may begin , within a week or two. Seven months will be required to complete the structure, which will be erected as an addition to the present classroom wing of Memorial Gym. Scheduled completion date is Oct. 21. B & M Electric Co., Logan signed the contract for electrical work on the new unit. Detweiler and Detweiler, Twin Falls, Ida.; have been mailed a contract for the plumbing.
