Show Thursday, March THE LEADER. 19, 1953 Elwood Mable Romer 3VLI.A. Play Presented Tuesday evening of last week the M.I.A. presented three one-aplays. The cast for the play "Grandma Pulls the Strings", included Norwood Fridal, Charlotte Munns, Mrs. Lindon Thompson, Mary Jane Thompson, Erma Miller and Carol Petersen. Those who took part in "Open by Mistake", were Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Munns, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Harris, Barbara Cornwall, Dallas Gardner, and Mrs. Chan Cornwall. The following played in "Something to Crow About", were Carol Ann Eichel, Darlene Brough, Mary Pali, Carolyn Cornwall, Gayle Cut ler, Rolayne Erickson, Jackie Erickson and Earl Saunders. Mrs. T. A. Meldrum returned home last Saturday after spending two weeks with her daughter, Mrs. Earl Francom in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Francom recently underwent a major operation. Mr. and Mrs. Carol Romer and daughters Leola and Joyce Hansen were Salt Lake City visitors Saturday. Leroy Ward of Bloomlngton, Idaho was weekend guest at the William Petersen home. ct BELIEF SOCIETY ENTERTAINS WARD Tuesday evening the Relief Society celebrated their 111th birthday at a Talent Show to which all members of the ward were invited. Each organization presented two numbers and special numbers were given. Light refreshments were served. Mrs. took Clytie Heslop, president, charge and Mrs. Rhea Anderson was MC for the event. During the evening Wanda Christensen was presented a token of appreciation for the time she has given to the community outside of her regular school hours. Reed Petersen, Jackie Thompson and Nathan Worthan spent the weekend at Malad. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Dahl and family of West Point visited at the Wayne Francom home last Thursday. Sunday visitors at the Sam Mortensen home , were Mr. and Mrs. Fay Mortensen and family of Layton and Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Sampsel and family of Brigham City. Mr. and Mrs. Nello London and H. P. Rasmussen of Ogden visited at the Owen Rasmussen home one day last week. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Woodruff and daughter of Logan were guests of the Clinton Bronsons Sunday. In the afternoon they all drove to Perry to visit Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Eghurst and family. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Shurtz and family of San Francisco, arrived last Friday to visit relatives and friends here. They are guests of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Amos Hansen. Another daughter of the Hansens Mrs. Raymond Kimball and family of Denver, Colo., are expected to arrive this week to visit with the family. Deweyville Grace Warnke Myrl Perry Completes Course at U.S.A.C. ml Myrl D, Perry completed his work for a Bachelor's Degree from U.S.A.C. school of Education and will be awarded that degree at commencement exercises in June. Meanwhile he for graduate has registered work at the came school. Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Brow-e-r and baby of Redding, California are visiting here with family members. They have been guests of Mr. and Mrs. Thain Brower. Saturday evening Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Norr had as their guests Mr. and Mrs. Dan Briggs, Mr. and Mrs. Francis Gunnell, Mr. and Mrs. J.' P. Jones and Mrs. Polly Smith of Tremonton. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Heusser and Mr. and Mrs. Merle Norh motored to Lewiston Saturday evening to help Lynn Wheatley celebrate his birthday. Nola Norr and family were in Brigham City Saturday where they visited with Mrs. Norr's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Rock. Sunday callers at the A. T. The baby was born at the Brigham City hospital and is the third son for the young couple. Mary Lynn Wheatley of Lewiston spent Sunday with her cousin, Karen Norr.
