While there they attended sacrament meeting where Leon's fourth child was blesed and given the name of Karen. Mr. and Mrs. John F. Conley returned home Friday from Albuquerque, N. M., where they have been visiting with their son and daughter, Major and Mrs. Keith Conley and son David. Soon after they arrived home they went to Idaho Falls and spent the week with their and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Ward and son Mr. Portage Harris Mr. and Mrs. Murray Hoskins of Sahara Village brought their new baby daughter here Sunday to be blessed in sacrament meeting. The name chosen was Karen Ann. They were dinner guests of the Virgil Harris's. Mrs. Vera Hall and daughter Irene and Captain and Mrs. Byron Hall went to Idaho Falls Friday to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Evan Stevenson and Mr. and Mrs. Roland Hall. Mrs. Vera Hall and Irene returned Sunday evening and the others remained ior a longer visit. . Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Paskett and family of West Jordon, Utah were week end guests of Mrs. Paskett's parents, Mr. and Mrs. N. J. John. Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Hoskins and family of Malad and Mrs. Afton Pierson of Plymouth visited Sunday with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lorenzo E. Hoskins. Mr. and Mrs. J. Hyrum Gibbs spent Sunday in Malad with their son and daughter-in-laMr. and Mrs. Don Gibbs. Wayne Howell, U. S. Navy, who is stationed in Washington, visited here several days last week yvith his grandmother, Mrs. Margaret R. Howell and other relatives. He left Saturday and a few hours after his departure his father, Wilbur Howell and brother, Lee arrived here from Los Angeles, Calif. They visited here with relatives over the week end. Bob Erickson of Logan came Sunday to get his wife and son who have been visiting with her parents, Mr. a.nd Mrs. James Howell. Mr. and Mrs. DeRoy Hawks have moved into their new home this week. It is located where their old home stood. It was built by the sons and of Mr. and Mrs. Hawks. Mr. and Mrs. Oran Parkinson, Barry and Marva Jean, spent the week end in Ogden with Mr. and Mrs. Leon Parkinson and son-in-la- son-in-la- w sec Darrel Rose who is attending school there. They attended the basketball game that evening and visited friends and relatives in Provo and wtih Mr. and Mrs. Marion Rees Saturday and returned home Saturday night. Mrs. Elda Nelson of Brigham City and Mrs. Lucy Nickles of Corinne visited Sunday and Monday with Mrs. Nelson's parents, Mr. and Mrs. David Parkinson. Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Madsen and daughter Jean of Pleasant-vievisited at the Virgil Harris home Thursday. Mrs. Wm. L. Gibbs, Sharon, Billie and Sidney went to the Brigham City Seventh Ward on Sunday and attended sacrament meeting where the baby daughters of Mr: and Mrs. Junior Hall and Mr. and Mrs. LaVerd John were blessed. i Mr. and Mrs. E. .T. Mr. and Mrs. Cornelius Bell had their son Charles and family of Ogden for Sunday dinner. Lincoln Bell of Salt Lake also spent the weekend with his parents. Little Nathan Simmons of Logan is spending some time with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Simmons. Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Kidman of Logan were Sunday dinner guests of the Dell Kidmans.Leland Stone who is with the coast guard at Astoria, Oregon, arrived home Saturday to spend a ten day furlough with his par - ents, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Stone. Mr. and Mrs. Don Hansen of Tremonton were Sunday afternoon guests of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Simmons. Bill Potter, Thelma Bishop and Lillie Veibell attended the wedding reception and dance for Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe Colton in Logan Thursday night. Mrs. Colton will be remembered as a Jean Bowcutt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Bowcutt, formerly of this ward, but now living in Logan. Mr. and Mrs. David Richards and Betty of Brigham City, also Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Richards and daughter Terri were Sunday dinner guests of Bishop and Mrs. Clark Bowen. Mr. and Mrs. Seymour Johnson and family visited Saturday with Mrs. Johnson's mother, Mrs. Rose Schwab of Logan. Mr. and Mrs. Mark P. Jensen report receiving a telephone call from their son Mark, who is stationed witn the coast guard at Port Angeles, Alaska. Mark is, well and enjoying the country, but a little homesick. Mrs. Lester Fronk spent Tuesday of last week visiting her aunt, Mrs. Heber Butler of Garland. Lucile Johnson spent Friday with her mother Mrs. A. J. Er-m- Bateman of Logan. Mr. and Mrs. Dell Kidman visited Mrs. Kidman's father, Guy Maughn in Wellsville last Thursday. Shery June Simmons, who is in nurses training school at the St. Benedicts Hospital in Ogden spent Saturday night and Sunday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Simmons. Mr. and Mrs. V. O. Packer were Ogden visitors Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. William Christiansen of Newton were callers at the Myron Hansen home Sunday. They visited with Mrs. Hansen's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Larsen. Arta Hansen, Hilda Johnson and Gertrude Secrist attended a P.T.A. defense meeting in Brigham City, Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Marble and children spent Sunday afternoon in Brigham City with Mrs. J. P. Barnard. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Beck of Logan were Wednesday callers at the Myron Hansen home. ' The Rendezvous Club met at the home of Ollie Bowen Friday. A delicious luncheon was served to eighteen members by the hostess, assisted by Aileen Simmons. The afternoon was spent playing Five Hundred. Prizes went to Gertrude Secrist, Juanita Bigler and Marion Er-icks- The Relief Society held a special quilting day at the home of Ella Foster, Wednesday. A beau- tiful quilt was finished and Mrs. Foster served lunch to the following ladies, Anna Durfey, Simmons, Ollie Bowen, Marie Leffler, Olive Durfey, Josephine DeLong, Hortense Fronk and Elsie Williams. Two babies were named in the meeting Sunday. The infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Pete Christiansen of Ogden was given the name of Richard Kyle by his grandfather Mike Ericksen, and the baby son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Richards of Brigham City was given the name of David Clark by his grandfather, Bishop Clark Bowen.
