Warnke RETURNS FROM ALASKA Virgil Packer is at home again after an enjoyable month spent In Anchorage, Alaska with Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Mineer. His daughter, Betty Ann, accompanied him up there and remained for the winter. T. W. Potter enjoyed a trip to California during the past week. He, in company with Lyn Larsen, Dr. Carlson and Clarence Austin r- toria, Oregon, and Mark is at Seattle, Washington. Both boys are in the Coast Guard. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Simmons enjoyed a trip to Bryce and Zions parks during the week. Cpl. and Mrs. Garth Geddes, who have been stationed at Ft. Ord California, and have been living at Pacific Grove, arrived here to spend his furlough, with Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Simmons and with his mother at Banida, Idaho. Visitors during the week at the A. A. Johnson home were Mr. and Mrs Heber Zollinger, Sublett, Idaho; Mrs. Thayle Neil-seIdaho alls; Mr. and Mrs. Theil Johnson, Ogden, and Drs Don and Vere Johnson, Roosevelt. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Busenbark attended the GOP Convention at Brigham City Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Robbins returned Tuesday from a trip to the Northwest. Their two sons had visited during the time with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Simmons. Mr. and Mrs. Lorrimer Seal of Salt Lake City accompanied Mrs. Mary Seal to her home Sunday, after she had spent a week at their home. Their son Hugh, remained here to visit awhile. Mr. and Mrs. Thaine Secrist and family visited over the week end in Ogden at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Potter. Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Warnke and family were Sunday after noon guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Camp in Malad, Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Johnson and daughter, Pamela of Logan visited Thursday evening at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Durfey. The Johnsons left Friday to spend their vacation in California. We COPS are surely proud of them and happy over their success. Mrs. Lottie Munns is the registration agent for the Elwood precinct. Next Tuesday, August 19th is the next registration day. Mr. and Mrs. Caseal Burke and family arrived last Friday from Berkeley, California. After spending a week with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Amos Hansen they will move to Logan, where Mr. Burke will teach at the college this winter. A baby boy was born to Mr. and Mrs. Oarnett Abel August 1st at the Dee Hospital in Ogden. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Golding of Mantua spent Sunday with the vioon Darwin Andersons. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Owens and daughter, Carta of Boise, Idaho spent several days last week with Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Benson. Mr. and Mrs. Heber Mortensen, the Merlin Romers, and Dwain, Mable, and Madge Romer attended a family reunion in Lo gan Canyon Sunday. Mrs. Walter Fridal returned home Saturday after spending a month with herh daughter and Mr. and Mrs. Richard O'Keef in Chicago.
