Show The LEADER Thursday, January 31, 1952 CSAB RIVER CITY Aiidrea Huggina Daughters of Utah Pioneers Meet The daughters of the Utah Pioneers held their meeting at the home of Mrs. Gladys Thor- sen Friday afternoon. Mrs. Mae A. Cornwall took charge, Dena Christensen read a sketch of the life of her father, James P. Christensen, Andrea Hug gins gave the lesson, The Old Pros pector. Hostesses for the after noon were Mrs- Mary E. Ander son, Ada Stander, Berneice Hall and Gladys Thorsen. Many relatives, friends and neighbors gathered at the home of Mrs. Peter S. Jensen, Saturday to wish her health and happiness on her birthday anniversary. Mrs. Melvin Johnson was hostess, to her card club Saturday. Clain Holmgren of Ogden visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rueben Holmgren over the week end. Mrs. Farrell Huggins entertained her club Thursday evening. Pinochle was played with prizes going to Mrs. Rulon Hansen, high score, Mrs. Gordon traveling prize and Mrs. Ronald Anderson received cut prize. A tasty two course lunch was served. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Bigler and children left for their home Saturday after spending the past two weeks here. Mrs. Ctgler was called here because, of the illness and death of her father, Robert N. Gardner. Noel Bennion of Corvalis, Oregon, visited Mrs. Mary J. Holmgren one day last week. He was enroute home from a poultry convention held at St. jLouls, Bio. Mr. Bennion is the husband of Mildred Holmgren Bennion. Mrs. Leona H. Rees of Brigham City was also a guest at the Holmgren home.
