Utah VFW Announces Rules Of Farm Contest A fully developed. 80 acre farm In the Columbia Basin Federal Reclamation Project, valued at '$50,000 will be given as a gift to some Veteran of Foreign Wars next summer. Announcement of the search for the lucky winner is made by the officers of the Borgstrom Brothers Post VFW of Tremon-to- n this week. The prize is considered to be one of the most valuable free prizes ever given away. It will include In addition to the acreage, a three bedroom home, near Moses Lake, Washington, with barn, chicken house, machine shed, and fully equipped with machinery to run the farm. The land will be planted to pasture, alfalfa hay, beans, patatoes, corn and spring grain. In addition to all that, the house will be completely furnished.. To be eligible for this wonderful award, a man must 1st be a citizen of the United States, or have filed application for papers for citizenship before last August. 2nd, he must be a World War II or Korean veteran 3, He must have an honorable discharge from the service. 4 He must prove his ability to run a farm. 5, He must be physically capable of performing normal farm work. 6, He must live on the farm and operate it. 7, He and his family must be present on the day the farm is developed at the site, ready to accept it and assume residence. 8, He and his family must be in activiwilling to ties such as posing for photographs, appearing on the radio and television shows, . and be interviewed by the presss. 9, He must be well recommended as to character, honesty and depesdabllity. 10, He must agree not to sell r lease the farm for five years, except for bona fide health rea- sons. 11, He must submit a com- plete and accurate financial sta ate Mrs. Lynn Iverson and sons ENTERTAINS AT tement. 12, He must agree that the decision of the judges be Gary and John . have returned FAMILY DINNER Gifts the Boy Will Appreciate Gifts for Her Dial.
