Show THE LEADER, Tremonton, Utah Former Resident THE Is Army's Oldest Delbert Jenkins, former resident of Tremonton, has the reputation of being the army's oidest enlisted man. He is 71. Sgt. Jenkins joined the army nearly eleven years ago, and expects to stay with the service for three more years. He has fought in the two World Wars, and says he prefers an outdoor life where things aren't crowded. His wife who is also 71 years of age has been in Japan since 1946. She is now a Grey Lady In the Red Cross, and conducts orientation classes for Japanese students who want to come to the United States and study. She Is also sponsoring a movement to help make Hiroshima the "peace city of Japan."
