Show THE LEADER, Tremonton, Utah Bears Travel To South Cache For Friday Game The Bear. River Bears meet the South Cache Spartans in their annual gridiron battle today at 1 o'clock on the Spartan's field at H3'rum. When the pigskin is booted lor the opening klckoff, the Rivermen will find themselves tangling with a club who stand just under Logan and Box Elder in Region One football competition and who have so much fight, daring and desire to win that they capture the imagin- ation from the opening gun. In early season forecasts, of size and depth as possible sports writers sighted the lack reasons for the Spartans not keeping a winning pace in Region One; however, the South Cachians have somewhat upset the dope toy turning in their fair share of wins. Coach Linford's eleven, who defeated North Cache 19 - 0 in their last league game, will take the field in regional competition ofter drawing a league bye on October 19. In the game with Malad Thursday, which the Bears dropped old man injury plagued the Rivermen to put several main out of action. Then, string-metoo, a beet vacation and he deer hunt have made it difficult for the Bears to maintain their usual practice schedule. However 4t is expected that the Rivermen will give a good account of themselves. Next Friday, November 2 Bear River meets Weber at Weber. last 14-- MUTUALS PiAN HALLOWEEN CARNIVAL Wm. R.
