Devere readings by The Birthday club met Monday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Ellen Rhodes to celebrate her birthday anniversary. Games were played and refreshments served by the ladies of the South Street. Mrs. Naomi guest of Oyler presented the honor with a beautiful chartreuse hand made luncheon cloth. There were 14 present. The Gold and Green ball was held last Tuesday evening with the Marvin Ashby orchestra furnishing the music for dancing. All of the Gleaners and M Men were honored and presented with corsages and carried by three little girls dressed in yellow formals, and two little boys dressed in Gold and green. A beautifully executed floor show was put on by the young people of the ward. The hall was decorated in green and gold. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Peterson were in Logan where they visited with Mr. and Mrs. Martin Sorensen. Mr. and Mrs Lyn Larson at tended the basket ball finals in in Ogden Satuday evening which Fielding played. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Harper were Ogden visitors on Tuesday. The Garland camp of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers met on Friday at the home of Mrs. Naomi Olyer with Essie Peter sen acting as hostess. The lesson was given by Mrs. Lillian King assisted by Merle Udy and was "Ranching and Mountain living". Mrs. Marion Kirby read her own personal history and Essie Peterson read the history of her grandmother, Maren Sorensen, a pioneer. Hazel Riser sang, "Teach me to Pray".
