I certainly enjoy the Valley Leader that I receive each week. It really helps a lot to hear how the people at home are getting along and how they are making out in this cold weather. I haven't been in the mission field two months yet, but I am surely enjoying my work. My companion and I have been assigned to a new town, where missionaries have never been, so you might say we have the first opportunity to preach the gospel to these people. Our work as yet is mostly trading. I didn't think I would like it at first, but as the days go by, it becomes easier for me, and I'm sure I will learn to enjoy it very much. If you ever see any of my friends tell them "Howdy" for me A guy doesn't realize how much his friends mean to him until he gets away from home and thinks about them.
