Show FIELD IX G By Florence Munson Vacation in THE Returning from a wonderful vacation at Colorado Friday evening were Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Packer. Among points of special interest they visited were Colorado Springs, Garden of the Gods, Cripple Creek Canyon, Royal Gorge, Rocky Mountain National Park and Denver. They report having a lovely trip. Attending a "1936" Class reunion at Bear River High School Saturday evening were Mr. and Mrs. Jay Bourne, Mr. and Mrs. B. M. Petersen and Mr. and Mrs. Rex Richards. Mrs. Velda Wood and family, Miss Virginia Welling and Miss Saundra Mae Hansen attended a Howell reunion held at Logan Canyon Saturday. Miss Virginia Weling and Miss Karen Wood sang several duets on the program accompanied by Miss Saundra Mae Hansen. Visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Mason for several days last week were Phil Mason and friend, Larry Shaffer of Salt Lake City, and Mr. and Mrs. Dale Hansen of Brigham Wednesday evening Phil entertained at a dinner party at Mad-do- x Ranch House at Brigham in compliment to his parents. Others attending were his three brothers Dent, Laron and L. Mrs. Emma Christensen of Salt Lake City, Mrs. Celia Hopkins of Delta and Mrs. Grace Hyatt of Joseph. The five ladies are all sisters of Mr. Lott and it had been several years since at the they were all same time. During the afternoon Mrs. Belva Skinner and Mr. and Mrs. Milton Stenquist and family of Tremonton visited at Lott home. Vernon Upton, grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Holt has received his honorable discharge from the Navy and returned from Hawaii where he has been stationed for the past year. He will remain with his grandparents during the summer months. Mr. and Mrs. Ellwood Hess visited with Mr. and Mrs. Rex England at Salt Lake City Wednesday. That evening they were dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hess at Ogden and also visited with Mr. and Mrs. Arch Bronson and Mr. and Mrs. Percy Hess and family. Mrs. Velda Wood spent Monday at Ogden. Ab Jenkins, Utah's own "king of speed," enjoys a MILK FOR A CHAMPION drink of milk after setting world stock car speed records last week on Bonneville salt flats. His son Marvin was relief driver. Ab maintained a milk bar on the salt during the run. Mrs. Allred Improving Mrs. Isabell Allred who is still confined to the Dee Hospital following a second major operation is reported to be feeling a little improved at this time. Gary Goodsell of Newton spent last week with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Sutherland and family. Mrs. J. D. Munson spent the latter part of the week with her children, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Allen at Perry and Mr. and Mrs. James Burt at Ogden. Attend Petersen Reunion Attending a Petersen reunion held at Crystal Springs last week were Mr. and Mrs. Noble Petersen and son Richard, Mrs. Elma Petersen, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Holt and their families. They were also accompanied by Betty Jean Sorenson of East Garland and Mrs. Eleanor Petersen and son of Tremonton. About 85 were present and enjoyed luncheon, followed by games and a social. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Weiler and son, Steven, of Salt Lake City visited with Mrs. Weiler's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wynn Hansen last week. Mrs. Weiler and son remained for several days. Friday, Mrs. Blanche Hansen and Mrs. Bonnie Weiler attended a bridge party given by Mrs. Jerry Fruin, Mrs. Quinton Allen and Mrs. Jed Abbott at Tremonton. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Standing spent Monday at Ogden visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Quinton Beasley and family and other relatives. Their leader Clinton Bronson and wife Annie took the boys last Monday morning. Mrs. Frank Heslop and Mrs. Alan Barfuss attended funeral services for tiny Judy Ann Lund a niece of Mrs. Heslop, who was the victim of a traffic accident. The services were held Friday at the Lundquist Mortuary in Ogden.
