Show Social Events and Mrs. W. W. Whitney was a guest of Norma Jensen of Gar land one afternoon when they spent the time with Mary J. Holmgren at the home of her granddaughter, Noreen Holm gren in Bear River City. Others present to enjoy the afternoon were Mrs. Jensen's sisters, Mrs. Orson Nelsen and Arietta Ras- mussen. Club News J CIVIC LEAGUE ENJOYS MUSIC DISCUSSION Dallin Nielsen, instrumental instructor at Bear River high school was guest speaker at the meeting of the Civic League held Thursday at the home of Mrs. Russ Waldron. Those attending from other chapters were Fred Reese, Salt Lake City, Jesse P. Rich, of the National Organization, Logan; Charles B. Cazier of the Temple Fork Chapter, Logan; and Adolph Reeder, of the' Box Elder Chapter, Brigham City. Mrs. Gertrude Simmons of Beaver Dam was also present and spoke very interestingly about the early history of Hamptom's Ford, Ferry and Toll Bridge, which she illustrated with photos taken at different times.
