HARRISON Nowadays most camera-owner- s with more than a smattering of photographic knowledge capitalize on the advantages of flash. However, there are a few basic safety tips which bear constant repeating. 'For Example: Do not take flash shots of people at a distance less than five feet. Do not remove spent bulbs by hand. Ejectors are provided for this purpose. Also, manual removal of bulbs can damage the socket of the gun. You are careful, we are sure, to check that the flashgun circuit is open when inserting the bulb. Also, it is always prudent to check bulbs for tiny surface cracks which can result in bulb explosion. You may on occasion wish to fire flashbulbs by using house current. This is fine if the bulbs you are using are designed for tfhis purpose. If bulbs are not adaptable to house current, the cartons will bear a warning to this effect. Another warning: Why speculate with cheap, second-rat- e photographic supplies when the best gives, you results for pennies more? C.
