Wanike BIRTHDAY OF OLIVE DURFEY HONORED ' The sisters of Mrs. Olive Durfey met at her home Monday in honor of her birthday. They dinner and visited through the afternoon. Those present were Mrs. Cynthia Earl, Logan; Mrs. Khoda Theurer, Providence; Mrs. Beth Marble, Ogden; Mrs. Iva Thompson, Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Anna Durfey. Mrs. Theurer and Mrs. Marble remained as overnight guests at en-Joy- ed the Wilford Durfeys. On Tuesday the group got together again for a quilting. . Mr. and Mrs. Jack Howard are family visited Tuesday with Mr. and Mrs. DeLoy Zilles in College Ward. The wheat harvest is starting in our locality. Several farmers have moved their combines into their fields. This is earlier than usual, owng to the lack of moisture. Mr. and Mrs. Cirnelius Bell, Mrs George Smith and her children, attended the Bell family reunion in Ogden Canyon Sun- day. The Boy Scouts, with their leader, Bryce Ercksen, enjoyed a fishing trip at Tonys Lake the latter part of the week. Seal Bishop of Ogden spent the weekend at the Charles Bishop home. Mr. and Mrs. Thaine Secrist and family were Ogden visitors Bishop and Mrs. Clark Bowen and daughter JoAnn were Tuesday overnight guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Riss Bowen In Salt Lake City. Virgil Packer and his daughter, Betty Ann, returned to Anchorage, Alaska' with Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Mineer who visited here. Mr. Packer will remain for his vacation. Miss Diane Johnson returned home after visiting in Olathe, Kansas. , Mr. and Mrs. Winston Biddle and Mrs. Clarence Biddle arrived home Thursday from West Virginia. Mrs. Winston Biddle is the former Nancy Austin and they were married there during the Biddle 's stay. ' Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Bowen, JaNeal and Randy, Mar Jean Bowen, Tonia Ericksen and Va Louie Kidman spent Saturday at Bear Lake. Mr. and Mrs. M. E. Hall of Clearfield spent the weekend at the home of Mrs. Hall's parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Warnke. On Sunday they all attended the James F. Hunter family reunion at Lorin Farr Park in Ogden. Gene Butelo of Los Angeles, California, cousin of Mrs. Myron Hansen ,was a dinner guest at the Hansen home on Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. John Potter accompanied by Dick Andrus and Sharon Edwards of Logan, spent Sunday in Ogden.
