| Show PETER NELSON PASSES AW ky peter nelson a worthy and respected citizen died at his residence in this city last friday after a lingering illness cf c sorrie some weeks mr nelson had lived in this city nearly SO 50 years beloved and respected by all who knew him not only in this city but all over the county and state an affectionate husband a kind father and ever a most true friend and model member of the he chure church a peter nelson was born july 1836 in the hi parish of gustava in skane sweden ile he joined the church in the year 1863 and came to america in the spring of 1965 remaining in nebraska until the summer of 1866 crossing the plains he arrived in salt lake city on september bep 15 of the same year at his death he leaves a widow and a large family of children chil dien as follows mrs selma walter mrs hannah gillespie P W charles charle wilford edward fred louis and gilbert nelson forty two grandchildren and five great grandchildren FUNERAL SERVICES futeral services sei vices over ab the e body of peter nelson were held in the north ward meeting house last monday afternoon bishop councilor john J gillett presiding the choir under the leadership of alfred M nelson sang resting now from care and sorrow prayer by elder john A bevan the choir sang I 1 when first the Gl curious eurious lighton light of truth the speakers were elder moroni england william H cassity cass ty stake president C alvin orme and apostle antle george F richards who all bore a faithful record of the deceased from a long personal and intimate acquaintance of the departed one during the service were sung by mrs evelyn isgreen and S W lee the choir sang 1 I need the ayery hour benediction by john de lamare the interment was in the tooele thoele cemetery dedicatory prayer was offered by elder peter cleg |
