He grew up in Randolph, Utah. He served in the Marine Corps during World War II and Korea. He just completed 28 years of service with the federal government. Mr. Osborn has worked in security and law enforcement and is currently the assistant fire chief, Utah Test and Training Range homemaking. y He would like to serve as a member of the board of directors of Tooele Senior Citizens. He worked 40 years in the cop- working as. a third grade teacher at Tooele Central School for 15 years. Elaine has lived in Tooele for the past 22 years. In 1968 she received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Utah and a Professional Certifi- sst-i- (Lakeside). Elaine Traver Mrs. Elaine Traver is running for election to the Board of Directors of Tooele Senior Citizens. She retired in May 1983 from the Tooele County School District-afte- r cate was issued in March 1978 for completion of an additonal 55 hours of credits. Elaine is presently secretary of St. Barnabas Episcopal Womens per industry (Kennecott) and retired in 1976 as superintendent of the sulfuric acid plant at Kenne-cott- s Magna Smelter. He was elected Justice of the Peace in 1978 of the Lakepoint Precinct, Tooele County and retired from that position in De- School System. was a member of the American Institute of Mining and Metallurgical Engineers and chairman of the cember 1983. She has always been a Tooele Booster and civic leader having belonged to the Tooele County Chamber of Commerce, Lady Lions Club and a Girl Scout leader. Mrs. Burger is a Past President of the Ladies of Elks and lifetime member, Past President and member of the Tooele Garden Club for 25 years, also a 50 year member of the American Legion Auxiliary, serving in all the offices of that organization. e Mrs. Burger retired from the A dedication ceremony of the Pony Express Monument at Lookout Pass will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 12. Mr. Wielatz was employed as Supervisory Auditor at the Tooele Army Depot for 13 years. He retired from Headquarters, U.S. Army Materiel Command in Trails and Landmark Association and the Daughters of Utah Pioneers provided the interprative plaques. There were nine monuments erected along the Pony Express Trail across Western Utah. Vandals have ripped the bronze plaques from all the monuments except Callao and Ibapah. The Settlement Canyon Chapter of the Sons of Utah Pioneers, the Pony Express Association, and the town of Vernon have cooperated in the purchase of a new plaque to be installed at Lookout Pass. The new plaque is made of anodized aluminum. It is hard and durable. It is hoped that the installation will be vandal proof. Speakers will be limited to ten minutes each.
