Bemodcliug in the St. John structure will consist of a clerks office and library. The Bush Valley Ward had been utilizing both buildings for sometime but a change had to be made because the church would no longer maintain both to-wi- places. After many months or pros and cons upon moving this part by the ward members, it was voted upon to proceed. Bids were opened Sept. 20, 1977. Valgardson, moving contractor, is pictured moving this 125-toload into the church yard after pulling it through the fields and ditches with only one incident of getting stuck. Vance Sagers plowed a road ahead of the moser with his caterpillar assisted by many men taking down fences and putting them back up. The brick is nearly up on the outside walls of this old recreation hall now which has had quite a ride in past years. It was first a Dugwav Proving Ground theatre. It was moved over Lookout Pass to Clover, then down through the fields to St. John. One would not recognize it now with all the changes made on the outside. The Safe Drinking Water Act requires that this notice be published regularly until the water meets state standards. The Town has had to take additional water from the creek because the springs continue to flow below normal and are not producing adequate water to meet the Towns needs. C-- PEACE CORPS The Peace Corps has some new friends in Africa: Nigeria, Tanzania and the Sudan have all expressed interest in having its volunteer workers serve in their countries. Nigeria and Tanzania both expelled the Peace Corps several years ago, in a break with the Nixon Administration over Vietnam policy, and the agency has never been welcome in the Sudan. The thaw came after President Carter made a direct plea on the agencys behalf at a recent luncheon meeting with African ambassadors. - Newsweek 1 NOTICE TO CREDITORS IN THE THIRD JUDICIAL DISTRICT COURT OF TOOELE COUNTY STATE OF UTAH In the Matter of the Estate of JOHN RANDOLPH BAKER,' Deceas- 1978) ed. What most of them are looking for is not a leader, but a Messiah. They want someone who will give them the Word. And the Word would be one that is agreeable to them, that appeals to their preferences and prejudices, so that they can follow it wholehearta leader edly. But this is not what a tme leader does tells people hard truths, gives them a difficult path to follow, calls upon their highest qualities, not their basest iastincts. A tme leader does not tell us what we WANT to hear, but what we OUGHT to hear. - Syd- ney J. Harris 1 |
