DIVERSITY and dimension have always been basic to the 3 D's. This ia partly due id their belief that variety is the spice of entertainment. Another big reason, however. Is their history in show business. Formed in 1960 by a chance meeting around a campfire in the Utah mountains, the three, Dick Davis, Denis Sorenson, and Duane Hiatt, continued singing togeJi-e- r at Brigham Young University until they all graduated. Then began the uphill climb as professional entertainers. Though the road was difficult, the experience was irreplaceable. Simply to keep food on the table, the 3 D's performed for just about everybody who asked them - (and a few who didn't). They geared their r show for a college or but necessity adul( concert, pushed them onto the stage in front of diverse groups like uni versity faculties, Korean farmers, political gatherings, histori cal societies, junior high and assemblies, boy high school scout jamborees, church socials and civic club banquets as well as colleges. The past year saw them performing at more and more of the noted western universities including Stanford, University of California, Colorado State University, Utah State University, and the Universities of Idaho and Nevada.
