Show The Tooele Transcript Friday, August 31, 1962 Teen Club Dance Set 4 Grantsville t Graduation exercises for the BYU were held Friday, Aug. 24 in the George Albert Smith Field House. Four students from Grantsville were honored on this special evening Lynn Jeffries. Philo Allan, Mary Jean Johnson Weber and John Clark. MRS. MARY JEAN Johnson Weber graduated with honors from the Brigham Young University, Friday night at the August commencement exercises. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Johnson of Grantsville. At BYU where Mary Jean maiored in English, she was selected for membershio in Phi Kappa Phi. Mrs. Weber has accented a teaching position at Pleasant Grove Junior High School. PHILO ALLAN, teacher at the Grantsville High School, received his Mas'ers degree in Recreation and Instruction. Special academic requirements replaced his thesis. JOHN CLARK received his Bachelor of Science degree in the College of Education He wll be Seminary Instructor in Bountiful Utah. John's wife, Linda Roghaar Clark alo graduated with high honors from the College of Family Livmg, Homemaking and Education. LYNN JEFFRIES received her BS degree bv ma taring in soeech and hearing. Her minor was elementary education. Make n neliei Day At Grantsville Is September 10 , Grantsville Teen Club is sponsoring a dance to be held Friday August 31, in the High School gym. Everyone is invited to attend. Dancing will begin at 8:30 p.m. A special floor show will be presented at intermission. Highlight of the evening will be the election of new officers for the coming season. There will be an admission charge of 35 cents per person.
