REPORTED IMPROVING Mrs. Gertrude Morgan, who recently underwent a major back operation at LDS Hospital in Sait Lake City, and has been in rather serious condition this past week, was reported Thursday to be improving satisfactorily. The regular Saturday nite dance will be held on Saturday, Oct. 19 in the Fourth - Eleventh Ward church with the Vernon Ward MIA acting as hosts. There will be good music and refreshments and everyone is invited to attend. Admission will be fifty cents, plus budget or guest cards or 75 cents per couple and the cards. Parents of Jr. High Mrs. Martha Garrard was honored at a family dinner on Sunday on occasion of her 80th birthday anniversary at the home of her son, Mervin Garrard. Thirty - one family members were on hand to enjoy the day together. On Tuesday, Mrs. Garrard was further honored by the Lake Point Relief Society who held a surprise party for her, their oldest and most devoted member.
