Show The Tooele Transcript 27, 1962 Friday, July Firemen Busy Loretta Iligley Injured In Fall Loretta Higiey, 18, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Higiey was Saturday, injured seriously when she fell from a horse which she and a younger girl were riding The accident occurred at the Dr. H. C. Burton home in Bountiful. where Loretta has been staying during the summer while attending comptrometer school. Miss Higiey is in the South Davis Community Hospital at Bountiful with a broken back and possible injury to her neck. PARTY PLANNED Mr. Ralph Lemmon, counselor in the Third Quorum of Elders requests all quorum members to keep the date of August 17 open. This will be the night of the big annual Elder's party, traditionally held on the iawn of the Jess home. tlnes Four fires in three days gave Grantsvilles Fire Department a busy time, this week. Three of the fires were set by adults. Fire Chief Ralph Lemmon once more requests that, the department be notified in advance of weed or rubbish burnings. Chief Lemmon explained that the Department will not do the burning for residents, but department members will be alerted for any possible danger. Grantsvilie residents are once again warned by Mayor James Palmer that tickets will be issued to motorists following the fire engine or inter.errir.g in any way with the fire fighting. RETURN FROM VACATION Mr. and Mrs. Bert Lawrence Jr., and children Ann Lynn and Judd have returned from a week end sightseeing tour at Dinosaur Land in Vernal and the Flaming Gorge Dam. Newlyweds Honored At Reception Mr. and Mrs. Fordham, are making Newlyweds, Gerry D. a home in Provo, following a honeymoon at the Seattle World Fair and other northwest points of interest. The bride, the former Dorothy J. Stromberg, and her groom were married in rites performed at the Salt Lake LDS Temple June 29th. A wedding receptionfwas held that evening at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Stromberg, in Grantsvilie and an informal garden open house was held the following evening at the home of the bridegroom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Blake Fordham of Pleasant Grove. THE BRIDE WORE a th gown of white organiza and all over lace which covered the blouse, outlined the rounding neckline and hell in scallops over the full skirt. A large bow of satin was placed at the back of the bodice. To hold her elbow length veil of illusion, she wore a small circlet of orange blossoms. A cascade of small orchids fell from a large orchid and clusters of to form the bridal bouquet. Attending the bride were Lois Jan Bailey, Evelyn Williams, Ware and Beverly and Connie Fordham, sisters of the bridegroom. THE BRIDES MOTHER and also the grooms mother, were were attired in frocks of beige lace. Flower girls were Patty Gowans, a neice of the bride, and Wendy Fordham, a sister of the bridegroom. Best man duties were carried out by Lindon Morrill. Assisting in receiving guests were Ben Stromberg, brother of the bride and Mrs. Mavis Nybo, a sister. OF FASHION Parkinson, pictured above, are two of the 50 models scheduled to appear in the Teen Age fashion show to be held tonight, July 27, at the Grantsvilie High School auditorium. Teen Fashion Show Scheduled For Friday The big. big, teen club fashion show gets underway tonight, (Friday) at 8 p m. in the High School Auditorium, with "scads of clothes being modeled by scores of young people. The big fashion show will be followed by an even bigger dance at the Lions Club. Diane committee Johnson, member declares that everyone" is invited to this evening of fun and fashion. This will be the biggest fashion show ever held in fashions Grantsvilie, featuring for both girls and boys.
