On Saturday, the Tooele Extension Center of Utah State University will graduate its second group of students in the Liberal Arts Program. ' This year Bertha Graham, Linda Winkler and Neill Peterson will don their caps and gowns for their long awaited trek down the aisle to receive their diplomas and their Bachelor of Arts Degrees in Humanities. Mrs. Graham was born and raised in Taos, New Mexico, in a family of 10. She had always wanted a formal education, but with so many in the family she put it off until later. Thirty years ago this month she married her supportive husband Art and they have three children. She has worked at the Tooele Army Depot for 23 years and at present is in Civilian Personnel-Trainin- g and Development Branch as an employee development specialist. She has attended the BYU extension classes and USU extension and has managed to keep a high GPA. She has also been a teaching assistant to Dr. Jerry Benbow for plishment. Ive wanted to finish for many years and the program through the extension center finalI think they are tired of hearing 1 have to do homework or we can do that after I graduate. Now Im afraid theyll hold me to everything Ive promised and Ill be busier than ever! Mr. Peterson grew up in Kanab and went to Kanab High School. He spent four years in the Air Force and after he got out of the service he came to work at the Tooele Army Depot where he worked in the tire shop for six years. He married his wife Celia 11 years ago and they have two Mr. Peterson has attended extension classes the past several years working with Spanish class students on Monday evenings.
