Veterans who may have signed statements while they were in the Armed Forces, regarding the origin or aggravation of disease or injury, are finding themselves the victims of disregard of federal laws protecting them against such statements against their own interest, said the Disabled American Francis Veterans, Commander Steele, Tooele chapter DAV, says that Congressional laws designed to protect the veteran against possible haste in signing any statement under pressure of a natural desire to get out of service and home to his loved ones, are being ignored by the VA, when taking action on new claims or reviewing old ones. They have also pointed out that federal policy clearly states that every reasonable doubt should be resolved in favor of the veteran, and have taken formal steps to protest what they feel is an injustice to disabled veterans By R.
