This will be a Western dance, Beck, square featuring Earl dancer caller from BYU. Dancing will be from 1:30 till 11:30 p.m. on the First Third Ward Patio. Admission price is 75 cents a couple and 50 cents extra ladies. There will be free refreshments and a floor show. This dance is to raise funds for the youth spectacular that will be held at the North Tooele Stake House in August. The cool clear water of South Willow Creek adds greatly to the setting, and furnishes an excellent drink as well as a place to fish. The sound of the rushing water is refreshing to say the least. We counted twelve cars camping in the canyon. Two were Utah cars, and the test were out of state cars. IN TALKING to Ken Hickman who works for the Forest Service, keeping things clean and ready, some nights there are as many as thirty cars camping in the canyon. Some of the fishermen we talked to weren't having much luck in pulling out the trout, but we did find one with his limit of ten. The largest was about 14 inches. His condition is serious and it will be a while before he will be able to come home. He and his wife left on a vacation trip for Seattle, Wash. After visiting with a son Jack and family in Seattle, they continued their trip down the coast of California. They were in the town of Boren when Hay den took suddenly ill. Federal Aid Funds Available apportionment of Federal Aid funds for fish and wildlife restoration projects will be available to Utahs department of fish and game on July 1, from the U.S. Department of the Interior. The allotment preliminary calls for an allotment of $218, 623 for wildlife and $51,187 for fish programs. is The early apportionment being made again this year to help the states program those activities and projects mote advantageously which are dependent upon these funds. Under the federal aid program the states spend their own funds on approved projects and are then, Preliminary $269,810 in THE GENERAL deer season was set for October 17 through October 27, with animals of either sex legal game. A shorter season of five days was set in four heid units and longer seasons were scheduled for 25 of the state's 62 deer herd areas. A statewide archery deer hunt was scheduled for August 2 7, through September though a limitation of archery permits for two units was decreed as an experiment to gain greater distribution of'hunters. Elk hunts were set for 12 herd units with a total allocation of 2420 permits. On nine of the units the hunt will start September 19 with later seasons set for three units. ANTELOPE WILL be legal game for 110 permit holders on five herd units during a season of August 22, 23, 24 and August 29, 30 and 31. A season of September 19 through 27 was set for the limited bull moose hunt in the Bear In - The - Rock River Hole units on the north Uinta slopes. No hunt was scheduled for buffalo. It was decided that brucellosis reactois would be removed at the corral when the animals are tested this fall.
