Mrs. Kirk was born at Ophir in ivto. a daughter of Edward and Celestea Bates Dalton. She was married to James Kirk on January 25. 1999 and they resided in Ophir until 1911 when they moved to Tooele. Mr. Kirk died in January 1944. Mrs. Kirk has two sons, Roy F.. of Henderson. Nev.; J. Rex Kirk. Tooele County Clerk; two daughters. Mrs. Neva Hawkins, and Mrs. Afton Puff, of Tooele. Gloria Jo, left on Saturday for their home in San Mateo after spending a week with Mr. Jette's mother, Mrs. Dora Jette. They planned to stop at Lake Tahoe on their way home. The Jette were at one time residents of Tooele. Mr. Jette is now Chief Investigator for the Maritime Commission in San Francisco. Another daughter. Leslie Hill, son of Mr. snd Mrs. Dan Hill, left Monday for Fort Leonard Wood. Misourl, where he will complete hi four final months of Intensive training In the National Guard. He was enroute from Fort Ord. California, where he had undergone his first two months of tracing, and had been here since July sixth. Senior Mister Sergeant and Mrs. Stanley S. Lojewskl. of Niagara Falls, New York, are visiting their daughter and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Frailey. They arrived last Friday and are much impressed with the Western scenery and sights. They are en route to California, where Sgt. Lojewskl will be stationed. WEEKEND VISITORS OF MR. and Mrs. Jim Buzianis were Mrs. Buzianis' sister. Mrs. Wilma Tavlor. of Linden, and her children, Su Ann. Allan, Brian.Dennis, and Gay Lynn. They also visited Mrs. Taylor's aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Lindsay Mair, and her cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Mair and Mr. and Mrs. Darwin Mair. all of Grantsville, and cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Nick Rosevich, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Belcher, and Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Murdoch, of Tooele. Miss Gloria Clegg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Buzianis. has returned from an extended visit in Heber. Her cous n. Miss Teresa Mair, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Mair, of Heber, Is now visiting here for two weeks. Major and Mrs. L. L. Clark and five children spent four days last week with the Stanley McAllisters. Major Clark, who was at one time Finance and Accounting Officer at Dugway Proving Ground, was recently retired at Fort Richardson, Alaska, and the family was enroute to Orlando, Florida, where they wilt make their home. RICKY UGLAND, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Ugland, returned home Wednesday after spending a month visiting his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. E. P. Strom, of Alexandria. Minnesota. Ricky made the trip to Minnesota by automobile with the Stroms, who had been visiting the Uglands, stopping on the way at Yellowstone Park and many points of interest in the Dakotas. He came home by bus. The Uglands have as houseguests Mr. Uglands sisters. Miss Ruth Ugland and Miss Gladys Ugland, of Tacoma. Mr. and Mrs. John Garner and children, John Jr., Bobby, Tommy, and Cherryl, drove to Napa, California, for their vacation earlier this month. They visited their daughter Juanita, who attends Napa Junior College, and saw friends in the area. John Jr., and Tommy will remain there visiting friends and relatives for the rest of the summer. Mr. and Mrs. Garner, Bobby and Cherryl returned home last Friday. MR. AND MRS. VERNON P. ROCKEY have been entertaining houseguests from California.
