Les Hill, Red EQUIPMENT Expanded New equipment and building expansion has more than tripled the capacity for customer service at Red Jones Tire Shop 725 North Main, according to owner and manager Red Jones. Pride of the new shop is a hydraulically operated machine that is capable of putting comon 8 tires per plete hour. THE NEW UNIT offers more production from less space than before possible and can be expanded by adding matrices to handle up to 16 tires an hour. Mr. Jones reports that he now has one of the most modern tire shops in the United States and his new equipment enables him to offer one-da- y recapping service to his customers, in passenger and light truck tires. THE NEW LODRIX recapping machine has hydraulic controls with air operated hoist and automatic compensation for weight of the tire, tube and rim during the process of centering the tire in the matrix. It is manufactured by Super Mold Corporation and is the most advanced equipment in the recapping field, according to Mr. Jones. TWO NEW WORK bays have been added to bring to four the number of bays at the North Main location. A new 36 foot addition to the building was made to accommodate increasing Jones busi- ness. Mr. Jones started in business in Tooele in 1926 at Main and 1st North. He has been in his new location for the past four years. HE NOW EMPLOYS two full time and two part time men in his tire shop. They are Terry Martin and Les Hill. Working with him part time are Roger Lohness, who has been with Mr. gional offices in Ogden, Provo, Jones for 15 years and Hersholt Price or Cedar City for further Warren. details on scheduling.
