Show GEORGE W BRYAN IF nit teral Servi services ees I 1 affeld wednesday I 1 funeral services for george woodward bryan 76 were conduct ed wednesday at I 1 p ni in tooele thoele first L D S ward chapel by bish op E wayne hanks mr bryan I 1 died monday at the home of a daughter mrs edith fields of a s mt bryan was bom born august 21 1871 in erda a son of george W and margaret broughton bryan he was a member of the church of je sus christ of latter day gaii saints t and as a young man served three years ears in the southern states mis s on field he was ordained bish op of the mercur ward in 1899 serving seven years he resided in tooele thoele county all his I 1 fe engaged in mining and the mercantile business he had lived in mercur where he was ter for years later he moved to ophir and was in business there with a drug store and show house he was appointed justice of the peace of the ophir precinct and elected mayor offices he held at the time of his death for several years he was a member of the too ele county school board mr bryan married mattie gilles pie in the salt lake L D S temple october 17 1900 who died some years ago their four children are surviving a daughter mrs edith fields tooele thoele three sons floyd bryan ely nevada george and alien allen bryan stockton 10 grand children also surviving are these brothers and sisters john fred and parley bryan and mrs maggie hall and mrs annie cleg tooele thoele and mrs ellen snow salt lake city |
