Though this is Kristas first year as a Rebelette, she quickly discovered the big difference in precision involved in college versus high school drill teams. Upon- graduation from Dixie College next year Krista will transfer to the University of Utah and major in business. Later she would like to be a high school drill team advisor. I know one day I will be too old to dance, but I would love to teach and advise. I just want dancing to always be a part of my life. Krista totally loves Dixie College, where she holds an academic "Dixie College has scholarship. been great to me. It is the greatest place in the world. The teachers are superb because they really care about you. The warm weather makes college life much more enjoyable and the social advantages are great. You meet new people and make new friends. Dixie, home of Sun Drenched Academics, is a great place to start, she says. - ;; . 5 Krista Davis Dancing and performing are my life. So says Krista Davis, a Dixie College Rebelette from Moab, Utah where she attended Grand County High School. Krista began dancing at three years of age when her mother e enrolled her in dance school. ; Dancing' has been a substantial component of her life since. In high school Krista was involved in student ac tivities. As a freshman she tried out and made the high school drill team. eIt was a lot of fun because it was a inew experience, she says. As a junior she was on the yearbook staff, student council, and in the pep club. The following year she became yearbook editor, drill team mistress, a member of the honor society, and I Phi Theta Capa, a fraternity for students. Of her Grand High (honor experience Krista says, It was great. I was able to grow, experience, and become a leader. I Last summer Krista took part in a beauty pageant where she became Miss Grand County 1985. It was an exciting experience and I never thought I would win, but Im glad I did, she offers. This June Krista will represent Grand County in the Miss Utah Pageant. As hobbies Krista enjoys snow skiing, water skiing, gymnastics, and especially dancing. It was her love of dance that inspired her to try Rebel-etteout for the Says Krista, At first I wasnt sure about trying out, but I knew I loved dancing and had foat least try. The dramatic events of the ' most memorable weekend in all history portray the victory of right over wrong and joy over sorrow, as well as the forgiveness of a deed so terrible that even the ruling magistrate would claim no responsibility for it. It is a time for reflection as well as rejoicing; and if the Son of God died to atone for our sins and to provide proof of immortality, the least we can do is try to be worthy of that sacrifice by improving our lives and by attendingthe Church of our choice; not only on Easter, but every Sunday throughout the year. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him 50 years should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 . . .
