Show Moabife Theo Oviaff Dies Suddenly Long time Moab resident, Theo N. Oviatt, 48, passed away Sunday of natural causes. He had lived in Moab for the past 27 years. He was born June 17, 1924, in Elmo, Emery County, Utah to Byron and Irene Day Oviatt. He was married in Aztec, New Mexico on May 8, 1947 to the former Margaret Scharf. A member of the LDS Church and the Organization of Operating Op-erating Engineers, Mr. Oviatt ' was a veteran of World War II. He is survived by his widow, Moab; mother, Huntington; two sons, Gary Mac ofHanna, Wyoming and Byron Tim of Moab. Two brothers, LorenN. Oviatt of Huntington and Dale of Moab and a sister Mrs. David (Thora Ann) Fillmore of Huntington also survive. There is one grandchild. Services were held Wednesday Wednes-day in the Moab LDS Church with Bishop Fred Noyes officiating. offi-ciating. Burial was in the Grand Valley Mortuary under the direction of the Turner Funeral Home. |
