Show Grand County Pioneer Lady Laid To Rest The many friends of Mrs Ella Stewart were saddened recently by the news of ht her r death on Aug 8 She recently celebrated her birthday with a lovely party to which many of her friends were Invited the occasion ion don being ht her r very first birthday party part on July 20 This was a avery avery ai very ery pleasant occasion with the party held in the beautiful patio of her daughter Mrs Abe Abc Day Ella Howard was born at Randolph Ran Ibn dolph Utah In July 1879 to the theof union of William Howard and Elizabeth Hill Hall She spent her childhood and young womanhood woman hood do the Randolph and HuntIngton Hunt Hunt- Huntington Ington communities graduating from the Emery County High School Married to to Charles Stewart she has been a resident of Moab for 58 years with the family prominent among the farming and andl ranching families of the community and active in development of the frontier frontlet community into a town always joining in aOl all movements to the best Interest of all A wonder wonderful i ful frontier wife and mother she was proceeded in death by her heT husband Mrs Stewart Is survived by two sons CLIve dive and Wesley Stew Stew Lynn Hawks daughter all of 01 Moab and another daughter Mrs Ora Malm Malin of Salt Lake City city also survived by 21 grandchildren grandchild ten ram and 24 great great grandchildren as well we'll as two sister Mrs Zina of oft Huntington Utah and Mrs Louise Howard of tedy New York Mrs Stewart was a member of church and the Relief Society In both of which she was a tireless worker Funeral services were held from th the iDoS church with interment in in the Grand County Cemetery at Moab The floral tribute attested to the high tribute tri tel bute in do which the family is Js held The Turner mortuary was n charge of of all aU arrangements |
