Show DEATH CLAIMS HUGH RAY hugh ray youngest brother of neal ray of moab died yesterday morning at grand junction following a brie illness of pneumonia according to word received today mr ray who formerly resided in the paradox district Is well known at moab where he visited on numerous occasions the following article from the grand junction sentinel gives the particulars of his passing hugh ray passed away early this morning at the home of his sister mrs J E brown on orchard mesa after an illness of only ten days mr ray was a well known stockman of the western slope for years and for the past year had been ranching on east orchard mesa mr ray was bom in montrose on march 16 1888 he spent an of his life on the western salpe except for ten years 1921 to 1931 when he resided in california he returned here in the spring of 1931 to engage in ranching surviving him are his widow tour children lynn kenneth and harold ray who reside here and a daughter mrs margaret haenel of los angeles he Is also survived by five brothers william emlaw and marion ray of eucla nucla flander ray of gimelson and neal ray of moab and four sisters mrs emma grimes of saunders ariz mrs ld of san diego mrs J E brown of this city and mrs W A doak of rifle mr ray had been prominently identified with in the montrose and grand junction districts for beare and he was well known throughout a wide circle of friends the remains are at the krohn funeral home no funeral arrangements arrange mente will be made until word Is received from the daughter in los angeles who was telegraphed today it Is probable that burial will be at montrose |
