IRA R BROKING STATE ROAD ENGINEER IS DEAD ira R browning state road en i ameer and well known in southeast em utah died saturday at salt lake city of pneumonia he had been ill only a few days J k mr browning lived in emery county a number of years andas of the road active in the development program in that county he served aberm in the state legislature be ing instrumental road legislation enacted later he was district road engineer for carbon i emery grand and san juan coun 1 ty and during the administration of governor simon bamberger he was made state road engineer he served on the state road for the administration ot a year during governor charles R mabey last february he was appointed to his old position as state road engineer by governor george H dern succeeding howard C means mr browning had many friends in this part of the state who were I 1 shocked to learn of his death
