Delegates to the state and congressional conventions to be held at Salt Lake City on May 18 were also chosen. Guests of the convention were State Chairman David J. Wilson and Mrs. Earl A. Davis, state vice chairman. Both Mr. Wilson and Mrs. Davis addressed the gathering, outlining their plans for the coming pclitical campaign and giving optimistic reports on the chances for Republican success. The meeting was called to order by L. L. Taylor, county" chairman. Secretary Mitchell Melich read the official call for the convention. Mr. Taylor and Mr. Melich were elected to act as temporary chairman and secretary, respectively, of the convention.
