S to Thomas Thom Thom- as We West t. t Virginia to his birthplace birthplace birth birth- place where he worked in the coal mines Later coming to Colorado Colorado Colo Cob rado redo where he worked in the coal coalmines coalmines coalmines mines at Craig and Steamboat t Springs Finally coming to Utah he worked In the metal mines and andon andon andon on Kennicott copper mines DurIng During During Dur Dur- ing World War II n he worked asa as asa asa a superintendent of the mine of Bingham Bineham Metals I- I In ih the year of 1932 on August 28 he married Mary Ann daughter of Mr and Mrs John I of Hyland Boy Bingham I Canyon Utah They were married at the Holy Rosary Catholic church at Bingham Canyon where three of their children were born In the year of 1939 they built builta a home In West Jordan Midvale Utah where two more children were born to them here they farmed fanned and he worked in the mines Later in the year of 1948 19 he came to San Juan County to La LaSal LaSal LaSal Sal to take care of the Redd dairy ranch on the Rattle Snake ranch Here their last daughter was born In the year 1950 they came to Moab buying the John Sog Shafer ranch where they were building a new home once again until illness prevented his finishIng finishing finishing finish finish- ing this home He was taken illand ill illand and went to Grand Junction to have surgery on July 17 1955 from which he never recovered He came back to Moab to the Grand County hospital where he was confined for the last two months He died March 3 1956 at a. a m. m He was a member of C.
