Show Hyrum Allen Pioneer Dies I I Hyrum Allen 88 early pioneer of southeastern Utah diet die suddenly suddenly suddenly sud sud- denly at Tooele Utah Wednesday Wednesday Wednesday Wednes Wednes- day morning Mr Allen Alien had been enjoying excellent health and the evening before had returned from Moab where he had spent several days He had just eaten a 11 hearty he was suddenly stricken with a heart attack death coming in a few moments The body hody Is being brought to Moab Mr Allens Allen's home for many years and funeral services will willbe willbe willbe be held Saturday afternoon at the chapel Mr Allen was born Feb 20 1862 the son of Lanson Larison David Allen and Hadlock Al Al- len He grew up at Huntsville Utah and when a young man came to southeastern Utah where he aided In the settlement of Monticello A few years la later r p he came to Moab and made his I 1 home here for about 60 years For many years he engaged in iii in I freighting here In 1886 he married Miss Nancy Wilson who passed away In tn 1925 They had 11 children of oJ r i whom survive Mrs Allen died diec L I In 1925 In 1926 1928 he married Mrs Edna Turner of Moab who sur sur- vives Mr Allen moved last year to Tooele to make his home with his son Ammon and family Mr Allens Allen's surviving children are J. J I. I Allen Fillmore FUlmore Utah Mrs Emmeline Perkins and Reuben Reuben Reu Reu- I ben Allen Alien Moab Alfred Allen Portland Ore are Mrs Jane Mc Mc- Arizona Rufus and Wilford Wilford Wil- Wil WU I Hazelton Idaho Ammon Ammon Ammon Am Am- ford Allen mon Allen Tooele and anti Mrs Geneve Capri He lie is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 19 great I grandchildren I Mr Allen was a devout member member mem mem- h. h ber of the LUS church and had W.
