Show I Business licenses fees weighed by Roy council With considerable discussion from members of the Chamber of Commerce and real estate group, the Council Tuesday night m a workshop meeting considered the present fee schedule charged businesses to license within the city versus a proposed gross receipts method One other item considered by the council with considerable input from concerned residents in the area was the annexation and rezoning ot the area from 3100 West m .5300 West and from 4800 to s.OO .South. The council tentatively plans to make a final decision as to whether to approve the petition presented by Wes Barton at its next regular council meeting Feb. !! w ith bu.-r- v Roy-Cit- 14 - A deficit of some $6,624 50 in administrative costs for processing of business licenses within the city was of major concern to the council and how to compensate for this was weighed The cost comparison was presented to the council by Building Inspector Dave Facer based on a 1970-7study of the costs involved For some 331 business licenses billed this past year, the total administrative cost would be $5,881 76, according to the study At $10 per inspection and reinspection, the total cost of this service was estimated at $6,375 50 Enforcement was also included in the cost study and the total costs incurred in issuing business licenses was estimated at $18,589 76 Then, based on money received from the 333 businesses billed within the city last year, revenue collected came to $12,020.00, leaving a deiicit of 7 Pumps to be installed GARY BRIMHALL and Jame Adamsen of the Service Station Supply Company of Salt Lake City, woik to install three Store on 1900 10,000 gallon tanks in the parking lot of the West.
