Friday Gary and Mayleen Kralls new baby boy, was born March 14 at McKay Hospital: Nolan and Kristine Leish-ma- n of Salt Lake had a baby girl on March 18 at McKay Hospital. This is their second daughter. Grandparents of the new baby are Mr. and Mrs. Grant Leishman and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne ohlin, all of Roy. Gaylen Fields of Roy was honored as the first place winner in the Futurity Division by the Wasatch Cutter Slopes Racing Association at their awards banquet held last week at the Hilary House. Mr. Field was also given the Jack Gift Memorial Revolving Trophy, and tied with Greg Gift, the late Mr. Gifts son for the sportsmanship award. Scott and Jerilynn Woodruff of 2075 W. 5900 S. had a baby boy on March 14. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Turley drove to Independence, Missouri a few weeks ago to pick up their son Mark, who had been serving an LDS Mission in that area. Before returning home, they visited with some of the families Mark met on his missr n, as well as places of LDS Church History, such as Nauvoo and Carthage, Illinois and Florence, Nebraska. Allen R. Messenger, 82, of Grand View, Idaho, died last a Boise, Idaho of Hospital complications following surgery. Mr. Messenger was the father of Donald Messenger of Roy. in Ron and Joyce DeCoste and their daughter, and Jim and Shanna Jones and their family have been vacationing in California. They took in all the fun spots in the Los Angeles area, such as Disneyland, Marineland and other tourist attractions. Larry and Sharon Thompson of 4329 S. 2450 W. had a baby boy on March 19. Skidmore Phyllis recuperating at is home following surgery last week at an Ogden Hospital. Patsy Hunsaker, who was married last Friday to Lynn McMillen, was feted at two bridal showers prior to her marriage. Margie Hansen and Mary Hughes gave a shower for the bride with neighborhood friends at- tending. Another shower was given by Terrie Rundquist with close friends attending. Roger pett is in the hospital where he is reported to be improved and her husband and family visiting with them from their home in Colorado. Gwen Hansen is doing well at home after being released from the hospital following an operation. Mr. and Mrs. Dee Sparrow have had houseguests at their home, who came to attend the wedding of their son Richard Sparrow last week. Gary and Pat Amidan and their family were here from Richland, Wash. Mrs. Amidan is the Sparrows daughter. A sister of Mrs. Sparrow, Maxine was here from Calif., and also visited with her mother, Beatrice Pingree.
