There are ways to keep cost of dental care down, and ve shall discuss some of them for you. One way is to discuss payment with your family dentist. He may be able to help you work out a payment system that will be with in your budget and still permit you to obtain good dental services. Another way to manage dental care costs is through prepayment, or dental insurance. More than ten million people are now covered by prepayment, and unions and management groups are becoming increasingly interested in providing dental care coverage as part of their over-a- ll package of health care fringe benefits. In Utah there are many com mercial insurance companies, as well as the Dental Associations sponsored Delta Dental Plan, that provides good prepaid dental programs for groups of five employees or more. Your company or union official could contact them for more information. Delta Dental Plan presently covers over 76,000 Utah people and pays $150,000 per month for treatment rendered irwbehalf of those people. If you are classified as memeans you dically needy--whic- h have sufficient income to support your family but not enough left over to pay health care costs - you may qualify for dental care under your state Medicaid program. You should check with your local dental society or the Division ofFam-il- y Services to see if you can for the Medicaid qualify program or if it has other programs that provide healthcare, including dental care. -- Most important of all, you can practice preventive home care described in previous ar- ticles. Regular dental check- ups and good home oral hygiene substantially reduce dental care costs. First & Center Cuts To Please You b. lb. Leo's Pkg.
