The Cats meet powerful West Texas State in per game. Last week, Weber lost to the nations tenth ranked rebounding club. Northern Ari- zona, The game this Saturday will be the third straight road game for the 4 Cats who have won only two out of six contests away from home. Excellent size for rebounding strength and fine shooters typify the Buff Park City plans Winter Wassail batic skiing, bartender barmaids race, ski movies, and casino dog sled race and Events have been into three days of fun as the Park City Chamber of Commerce makes plans for its annual Winter Wassail, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Activities open Friday with 'he coronation of the Wassail queen, princess and prince and a spaghetti dinner. The dinner costs $2 adults, $1.25 children, and 30f for setups. The menu includes spaghetti, french bread, salad, wassail or other beverages. That evening will conclude withadance beginning at 9 30 p m. at the Memorial Building. A rock band will provide music. Saturday's events include a parade, children's events, cross country race, NASTAR races, snow shoe race, acro jam-pack- night. Planned for Sunday are a ski stampede, dog sled races, 1SIA demonstration, snow shoe baseball game, contest, acrobatic skiing, a cross country relay team race and a torch light parade. One of the biggest events of the weekend, scheduled for Sunday judging at 3.30 p.m., is the snow sculpturing contest. Everyone and every group is encouraged to participate in creating a sculpture of snow on the old Main Street of Park City. The map shows Hyrum, Utah, up by Logan to be the place where you head up into the canyon for Hardware Ranch. The road through the canyon was snow The canyon is covered in some places. very picturesque. After a 17 mile ride we approached the parking lot. Many people were coming and going. The ride takes maybe en minutes if you can get right on a sleigh. Our driver and guide explained that the hay fed to the elk amounted to approximately 27 pounds a day and this is only a portion of the feed they need. The head into the hills for native food that gives them the needed elements for a balanced On the hill we noticed an observation center. A short trip and we could see the whole ranch. The hour was 4 p.m. Trips by sleigh are conducted daily now. Hours are approximately 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. From the observatory we could see the elk start to move toward the barn. It was nearing their evening feeding time. The observatory area has candy for sale. Nice modern rest rooms. Heating was provided by propane gas. After our view and chat session we started to leave when we were greeted with a hello from Ralph Lameroux and Jack D. Cazier families. More newcomers to the area. If you havent been to Hardware, now would be a good time to see the elk, and have a good time too. Her husbard Donald Aurich died two weeks ago after contracting He had never fully pneumonia. recovered from an automobile accident which occurred on the near Brigham City freeway several years ago Hisparents, Mr. and Mrs. Garnett Aurich reside in Grants Pass where both funeral and burial took place last wek.
