My phone numbe ris EX ROY JR. HIGH HIGHLIGHTS Coul It Be You was the title of the Girls Association assembly presented last Friday. The assembly was among the best ' proved by the many screams, applause, and laughter so hard that tears came into ther eyes. The things most comical were the boys modeling a girls wardrobe and doing their own original Hawaiian dancing. There was no actual talent, mostly just performances which turned out to make the assembly different and interesting. On Feb. 29, Roy had its annual Levi Day. The girls in the school wore levis or and proceeded to take command of the boys. All seventh, eighth and ninth grade students participated in a matinee dance hejd for their particular grades. Everyone enjoyed the day very much and hope for another similar day next year. s HENRY A. Featured soloists for the A Capella choir was Bob Johnson, Maxine Kato was soloist for the Girls Glee presentation. The program was under the direction of Air. J. Graves. Plans are now being made for the Junior Prom to be held April 1. The Junior Prom Committee headed by Dennie Pier-nicmet for the first time Wednesday March 2. The United Nations speech contest was held March 2. The winner of this contest will be awarded a trip to New York City to tour United Nations facilities located there. Science, physics and chemistry students plan to enter their science projects in the annual science fair to be held April 1, at Weber College. The science students are under the direction of Mr. H. Goinnge and Mr. Green. National Merit Scholarship tests will be given March 8, free of charge to all juniors. The tests which are being given as part of a survey will be available to juniors who desire It. Results of the examination will determine those who are eligible to compete for various national scholarships. Weber High was chosen as the site for the state wrestling meet, Feb. 28. Eight inen from the Weber High School wrestling team participated to bring Weber a second place trophy. k Sunset News Deputy Marshal Glen Clarey, Sunset City police department, officially installed seven members into the Doxey School Safety Patrol at the school Tuesday Captain of the new group is Gary Wheat with Paul Marsh as lieutenant. Other members are Jerry Bowes, Billy Weller, Wayne Carey, Gregory Jenkins and Gloria Hersom. R. E. Robertson, Doxey safety chairman, stated that this group will aid the teachers in playground and hall duty as well as providing safe pedestrian crossing at intersections. ball championship. Glen Hansen was the big scorer this season for the Redskins, as he totaled 105 points in play. Bill Ivey was the big rebounder for the club. David Cottam, Dennis Belnap, John Galley and David Winger were the fast ball handlers and shooters from outside. Coach Clark Puffer is also happy about the fact that starter John Galley is back next year, along with James Tisi, Joe Hull and Tom Rosenberg all eighth graders that saw considerable action this year. The others boys who saw limited action but Kept the team spirit at a high level by working hard all season were.
