Dr. Paul Naisbitt was the speaker. Roy Cobia, local hair stylist, was named vice president of the Regional Beautician and Hairstylist Convention held recently at the Hotel Ben Lomond. The glamorous event featured a Hawaiian theme beautifully earned out. Prevews of styles presented at the convention give promise of new loveliness for the ladies, Mr. Cobia stated. They returned to Roy Saturday. Its three boys now for Norman and Marilyn Baker Bennington. Their third son was born Nov. 3 at the Dee Hospital. Blake and Lynn think hes something pretty special. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Givens celebrated their 19th wedding anniversary Saturday evening with a party. Attending were Faye Field, Izora Olmstead, Mary Christensen, Mr. and Mrs. John Fredrickson, Mr. and Mrs. Hal Moss, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Allen and Mr. and Mrs. Ijarold Field. The group enjoyed bunco followed by a delicious luncheon. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Howard and family spent a real busy weekend at Cache Valley on Friday. They attended the wedding of Grants sister, De Ann, of Smithfield, who married Dean Larsen of Mendon. Saturday they spent at Logan with the A. I. Larsen family and the Spencer Hanceys and Sunday Park Dudley, Grant's nephew had a farewell testimony prior to leaving on a mission. Nov. 1 was the date Mr. and Mrs. Glen E. Davies new addition arrived. Their new daughter was bom at the St. Benedicts hospital. Henry Clontz has been admitted to the Dee Hospital for treamertts. Bessie Manning has had the pleasure of a visit from her mother, who has been visiting here from Los Angeles, Calif. Leaving for a week stay at San Bernadino, Calif., on TDY is Edwin Beitz. He left Saturday. Earl Mathews is at the hospital undergoing treatment. The Vince Montano family are showing off a new arrival in the form of a son. He made his great entrance Oct 30. Mrs. Montano is the former Celly Archuleta. TV Seventys banquet Saturday the 14th of Nov. at the ward hall. SECOND WARD The literature lesson will be given Wednesday Nov 18 10 am at Relief Society. A get out of debt banquet will be held Friday Nov 20 at the ward. It will be a turkey dinner with all the trimmings. It will be $10 per family. A program will be held from 7 to 7.30 with dinner to follow. Mabel Munn held a parents program for her Top Pilot class at Primary recently. Following the program refreshments were served. Primary ward board meeting was held Thursday evening at the home of Millie Stevens. There were 12 teachers present. The lesson was given by Jean Hams followed by Refreshments served by Colleen Clark and Mary Hughes. The Rainbow class had a parents program at Primary this week under the direction of teacher Katy Fields. THIRD WARD The Homebuilders will hold a parents demonstration next Sun day afternoon at the Roy First Ward. A special invitation is extended to both parents to attend. The activities are being planned by the girls and teachers, Flora Purser, Norma Passey and Betty Johnston. Members of the MIA enjoyed a stocking dance Wednesday. Special musical numbers were presented by Bishop Reimschussel and family accompanied by James Pingree. The ward bishopric will be changed at sacrament meeting Sunday at 4 30 p m. A good attendance is hoped. There will be special music also.
