Show The teenage dance deemed to itobpjftiftovs and Mrs. Gene Finch and Diana have returned from a two week vacation trip to the Northwest and Canada. They attended a Seafair celebration in Seattle and a centennail celebration in British Columbia. The Finchs visited with Genes brother, John and family, and his sister, Mrs. Homer Bentley, in Seattle. While in Seattle Diana was honored on her birthday with a gift from Hawaii of leis and orchids. Mr. Wadsworth was born at Mountain Green and Mrs. Wadsworth at Hooper, and both lived in Hooper most of their lives. Mrs. Wadsworth was 80 years old at the time of her death. . The sisters are pictured above as follows: back row, left to right. Mrs. Lida Rigby, of Grace, Idaho; Mrs. Flora king 6nd Mrs. Vera Cools of Hooper; seated, Mrs. Iris Sowell, Echo, Utah and Mrs. Gladys Fulton of San Francisco, Calif. Sacrament meeting in the Second Ward last Sunday had Jay Beus and Gus Vaughn as speakers. A trio composed of Elma Ross, lola Murray, Audrey Pattersen and accompanied by their mother Mrs. Mable Belnap,furnished lovely music. The speakers in the First Ward last Sunday was Don Hull recently returned from a mission in Australia. A solo was sung by Beth Simpson, accompanied by Carol Beus. Roberta Kite was honored at her home with a surprise party last Thursday evening, given her by the girls C' League softball team Club leaders. She was and her presented with a gift for her room. Mrs. Effie Hooper and Kama just returned from a tour with the BYU Church History group. They visited many places of church historical value Including the Hill Cumorah Pageaht. They traveled in a bus with 24 other passengers the youngest of whom was 19 years old and the oldest was 85 years old. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Lewis of Hooper and Mr. and Mrs. H. B Cools of Plain City recently at tended the funeral of Mrs. Lewiss brother, Elbert Belnap. last Mon day in Pittsburgh. Calif. Well, the summer vacation Is nearly over and school activities are soon to begin. Registration was done for high school and junior high and school will begin on Sep tember 2. The Clinton school children will have to take their lunches. The kitchen was condemned and until some other accommodations can be made the children Will have to pack their lunches although milk will be sold for 3c a bottle for anyone wanting it. A letter to this affect has been mailed to the Clinton School par ents and one should be on its way to us by now. Joyce Poll Wilde left a week ago to fly to Alaska to be with her hus band Theron while he is serving in the armed forces there. Mr. and Mrs. Ncrman Blanch are the owners of a '53 two tone green Buick. David Bouchard and Evan Stock are the owners of a new Chevy pickup truck to be used in their work. Mr. and Mrs. Willis Mowers and Boyd spent a few days in Yellow stone seeing the sights and enjoying the bears. They were gone four days.
