The Seminary Students from West Point were speakers at the Sunday Evening meeting. Not all of the graduates this year had an opporunity to speak. They probably will be asked to speak at some later date. Those who spoke were Ruth Thurgood, Elaine King, Carol King, Lucy Oleson, and Gary Youngberg. Others who will graduate are Carole Montgomery, Connie Manning. Jerry Montgomery, and Ramona Fisher. Blood donations will be greatly appreciated. The Wedt Point Town has passed some dog ordinances to be effective May 1, The dog catcher, Buck Fielding will pick up all dogs without a license. The tax for male dogs is $3.p0, for female $10.00. I have heard that there is also a ruling in the county now that dogs must be kept on the owners premises. Any stray dogs will be impounded and a fee charged. The Elders quorum is painting the Basement of the phurch house this week They request that people stay out of the basement. There is a possibility that Sacrament meetings will be held at 7 p.m. in the evening instead of 7 30 for the summer. It has not definetly been decided yet.. A Baptismal Service will be held next Sunday at 8: 00 A.M. The Seventies quorum is selling a very nice Candy in cans (sealed). money will be used to sponsor Sie missionaries in the field. The Annual Commencement for the Seminary Students of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints seminary, Kaysville, Utah will be held on Thursday May 1, 1958 at 8 00 p.m. Students from Davis, Layton. North Davis, Lake View and South , Ogden Stakes will participate. North Davis Stake held a Fireand Jr. Gleanside for Jr. er Girls Sunday Evening at the Stake House, following Sacrament Meeting. A budget ticket or a special invitation along with 15 cents will be the admission charge. These dances will be Supervised but are for teen-age- r only. Garden Club has David The Stanger as president' Clark Smith as vice president; Ralph Birt as secretary; Val Byham as reporter, and Fred Stanger as assistant leader. There are seven members in this club and there is one other Garden Club in South Weber that hasnt reported their organization as yet. Clajg leader is Virginia Stanger. Fifteen ladies went to the Logan Temple Tuesday but through a recent change in schedule three had to return without going through. All these ladies enjoyed the trip very much. There has been some change in some of the organization and they are as follows Ruth Mathis is the teacher for the Gospel Doctrine class in Sunday School. Ballots were cast by judges, who made their selection from skits introducing the candidates from each ward participating. Others participating on the program were little Jean Erickson, who gave two vocal numbers, Linda Smith, violin solos and the Lake View Ward mixed quartette.
